To You

It was near the windows,
When I realized the missing.

I missed the chuckle,
I missed the laughter.
The cold coffee with whipped cream,
& yes, the bitter coffee beans spread over.

I missed the gurgling,
Of straw against the shallow tall glass,
The frown on your face,
& yeah, the mischief I created.

I missed the walks,
On the sides of the lake.
Those small, slow steps,
& still, unable to make time longer.

I miss, as I recall,
Smiling as I remember,
And I realise where I am,
And I call the waiter back.

Can You Please Get me Some Coffee Beans?
